On Saturday, May 6, a group of students from Chester High School participated in the 12th annual Delaware County Suicide Prevention 5k hosted at Ridley Creek State Park. Chester Upland School District was also a sponsor of the event.
Students learned about mental health awareness from the many sponsors who had information tents and giveaways for the participants. The CUSD group was very popular at the event, handing out cheers, and high-fives to the runners as they passed, keeping the chilly participants in good spirits. CHS students sold ribbons to bring attention to mental health awareness month, (May) and have a few more activities planned during the month.
Thanks to all of our students and staff who came out to support the run and show their C-Pride!
