STEM at FIRST Robotics Competition

Robot

This weekend, the STEM Robotics Team will be competing in the FIRST Robotics Competition at Hatboro-Horsham (on both Saturday and Sunday). This competition is considered the most prestigious and challenging in the world of High School Robotics: imagine making a 125-pound-robot climb a rope!

STEM's students are a "Rookie Team," but are still confident about their performance, utilizing their well-designed and well-built product. The students have learned extensively in areas such as electronics, computer programming, mechanical engineering, telephony, and design and gained experience they would not otherwise have had the opportunity to obtain. They've stayed late after school and come in on weekends to complete this project.

Parents, community members, and stuents are invited to attend this fun and exciting event! Find out more information about the competition, and get directions to the event, at http://www.midatlanticrobotics.com/events/district-events/hatboro-horsham/ or click here for the event flyer.

STEM's Robotics Team will also be competing next weekend at Westtown High School in West Chester. We'll post more information as we have it.
