Miss. Chassidy K. King is the instructor for the Sports and Entertainment Marketing at Chester High School. Miss. King comes from an extensive background in Marketing. In 2008, Miss. King was public relation intern for Black Entertainment Television (BET) out in Los Angeles, CA. She has worked on several shows and events, which includes the 2008 BET Awards. In 2009, Miss. King interned at Creative Arts Agency inc.  She worked in the Sports department with several sports agency.  She was even given the opportunity to attend the 2009 NBA Draft. After graduating from Virginia State University, she then went straight into graduate school at Seton Hall University, where she received her M.A in Strategic Communication.  While in graduate school she worked at Wells Fargo. There she learned about retail, customer service and the different products of banking.  After working at the bank for several years, she then became the Marketing Coordinator for H&R Block. There she developed several partnerships with surrounding businesses to give their employees an extra benefit.  While working at H&R Block, Miss. King started working on a personal project of hers. In 2014, she got her grandfather recognized as one of the 1st African-American Doctors to work in Gloucester County at Under-Memorial Hospital (now Inspira) in Woodbury, NJ. A plaque of Dr. King will be for forever hanging at the Family Practice walls in honor of Dr. King. In 2017, she did another ceremony in honor of grandfather and got a plaque dedicated in front of his old Doctor’s office. She created letter’s  to receive funding and press releases to make sure there was coverage of this event. Miss. King is excited to be a part of the Chester Upland School District. She is ready to help educate our future businessman/woman, entrepreneurs  and marketers of tomorrow.
