Student Registration Update(s):

The Chester Upland School District is pleased to offer an online student registration option for Grades k-12 the remainder of 2025-2026 school and the 2026-2027 school year. Please review this webpage, our FAQ list, and the list of required documents before you begin the Registration process.

PRE-K COUNTS

*** For the Chester Upland School District, Kindergarten(age 5) and PreK(age 3) students must have reached the required age on or by September 30th of the current school year to be eligible for enrollment. Kindergarten students must be 5 by September 30th. PreK students must be 3 years old by September 30th. According to PreK Counts state regulations, since the Chester Upland School District starts school for the 2026-2027 school year on August 31st, PreK students will not be able to start school until their 3rd birthday. ***

Student Registration Update(s):

  • The Chester Upland School District will implement a centralized student registration process beginning with the 2025-2026 school year.
    • Step 2 and Step 3 on the application have changed.
    • The district is currently in Phase 1 of this new process. What does this mean for you? 
  • The Office of Child Accountability will notify parents about Phase 2 of this process. It includes the option to enroll your child online.
  • Applications can be downloaded and printed from the links above. You can also request a copy of the application at your local school office, or the Office of Child Accountability located at: 1350 Edgmont Avenue, Chester, PA 19013

                                      Step 2

  • If all paperwork is complete, please turn it in at your local school office. The local school office will submit completed applications to the district office for centralized student registration in the Office of Child Accountability.

                                      Step 3

  • Parents with completed packets will be notified of their approval by the district office.
    • If your child is already enrolled in the district, you will only need to complete a returning student enrollment form. You will be notified when this form is available.
    • Packets with missing information will be returned to school secretaries.
    • If you have questions regarding required documentation, please submit your question(s) and contact information to the school secretary. The Office of Child Accountability will contact you with a response.
  • Pre-K Counts seats are limited.  Only completed applications will be considered for enrollment.  A waitlist will be created for any completed student applications received after seats are filled. All parents who apply will receive notification on their child’s Pre-K Counts enrollment status.
  • Students who are enrolled in the Pre-K Counts program do not need a new application for kindergarten registration in the school year. Parents only need to complete a returning student enrollment form for kindergarten.

Grade K-12 Registration: 

CUSD is pleased to launch its secure online application for new student registration called PowerSchool Enrollment. You will be able to upload the required documents for registration within the application. 

You must be a current resident of Chester Upland School District to enroll your child in our schools.

Please review this webpage, our FAQ list, and the list of required documents below before you begin the application.

OPTION 1:  ON-LINE REGISTRATION PROCESS:

  • Select the 2026-2027 Enrollment Link.

  • Create an Account.

  • Complete all sections of sections of the Registration Packet, including emergency contacts and medical information.

  • Securely upload required documents. 

  • Submit for processing.

Account Creation: Visit your specific district’s PowerSchool Enrollment to create a parent account, 

                Pre-Registration: Complete the initial form to initiate the process.

  • Document Upload: Securely upload required documents:

  • Form Submission: Complete all sections, including emergency contacts and medical information. 

STEP 2:  The School Secretary / Registration Department will contact you within 3 business days to provide instructions for the Online Registration Packet.

For students with IEPs: Regardless of whether parents can enter registration or School secretaries enters the registration information into the information system,  special education related documents (IEPS, evaluation reports, etc.) to the Special Education Department for review. The Special Education Department will review documents to assign a school and case manager based on the programming needs of the students. The Special Education Department will contact the family to inform them of the school assignment, program, and case manager to avoid delays in enrollment (typically within 5 days).
