  • Greetings Room 21 Family!  I miss all of you and my kiddos!  I am here to help in anyway you need during this challenging time.  Please keep visiting this page for information, resources, assignments, etc.  We will get through this all together and ensure that your children are learning and growing even during these tough times.  Stay safe, healthy, and happy and let me know if you need anything.

    A Little bit About Ms. Levin

    Ms. Joanna Levin is a Special Education Teacher in the Chester Upland School District.  Ms. Levin teaches an Autistic Support classroom with students in grades 3-5 at Main Street Elementary School.  Ms. Levin has taught elementary school level Autistic Support in the Chester Upland School District since 2016.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Women's Studies from Villanova University.  Additionally she earned a Master of Science degree in Special Education and Elementary Education from Saint Joseph's University.  Ms. Levin holds a certification in Special Education grades N-12 and Elementary Education grades K-6.  Ms. Levin has provided many types of special education supports including Learning Support, Emotional Support, Autistic Support, and Life Skills.  Education and special education is Ms. Levin's true passion and she is dedicated to meeting the individual needs of all her students and ensuring that they grow and thrive.

    Google Classroom- We will be using google classroom for assignments, lessons, and announcements.  Please log in using the instruction below:)

     

    Google Classroom: You need to make sure you are logged out of your personal google accounts and sign up using student's login and password, I will contact you to provide you with this.

    Accessing Google Classroom
    1. Go to www.google.com
    2. Click sign-in in the upper right-hand corner
    3. Sign in to Google with the user name (student email address) and password (students first and last initials (capitalized) four digits and then lower case first and last initial
    4. type in www. google classroom
    5. Click student
    6. Click continue
    7. Choose a classroom to join
    * If there is no class available click the + at the top right hand corner.
     - Type in the class code 6ad4nky and join the class requested.

    ONCE YOU HAVE ACCESSED  STUDENT GOOGLE ACCOUNT- you can click the dots in the right hand corner and click the google classroom icon its yellow and green. I have invited your student to it. CLICK ACCEPT.

     

    IF YOU DO NOT SEE IT when you are in:

    1. On the homepage, click Add Add.
    2. In the box, enter the code 6ad4nky and click Join

    PBS KIDS and PBS LearningMedia are offering tools to help support learning at home, including educational videos and games from favorite series, and related skill-building offline activities.

     

    Subscribe to Time Magazine's Time for Kids for elementary and middle school students, digital subscriptions are free for the duration of the school year. This is the first time that the magazine is fully accessible at home.

     

    Age of Learning is offering families at affected schools free at-home access to ABCmouse, a learning resource for ages 2 to 8; Adventure Academy, is open for students ages 8 to 13; and ReadingIQ, a digital library and literacy platform is available for children 12 and under. https://www.ageoflearning.com/
