  • Ms. Norman joined Chester-Upland School District in the fall of 1997. Presently, she teaches English Language Arts at Chester High School. She also serves as the School Based Academy Leader for the ELA Department and faculty adviser for the Class of 2021 Yearbook.

    Honors English 12

    Honors English 12 is a required course for 12th grade students. The purpose of this course is to foster a thorough understanding and an enlightened appreciation for British literature and to connect the content of literature to various events in British history. Within the framework of this course, students will be encouraged to examine the principles and practices of literary analysis and essay composition. It is, furthermore, imperative that students discover effective methods to adapt writing styles and speaking skills in order to articulate conceptual connections with expressive intelligibility and technique through utilization of a diverse assortment of acquired interpretive skills.

    ELA Skills & Support 10  

    ELA Skills and Support10 is a course designed to improve upon the student's ability to proficiently read, analyze, and interpret literature.  The course individualizes and aligns instruction so that students may master the eligible content set forth by state standards.
