CUSD Parent University
Chester Upland School District (CUSD) Parent University empowers the parents of CUSD's students with research-based information, alternatives and strategies to work towards increasing health and wellness within the family unit. With the integration of this knowledge, parents increase their understanding of children's needs and challenges, and parents become knowledgeable self-advocates, which encourages them in teaching their children to be successful and productive members of their school community, society, and the world.
Parent University will Provide:
- Resources, training, and mentoring support to parents in their role as their child's first and most important teacher
- A forum for parents to share their own experiences and locally available resources in support of literacy, along with a number of additional strength-based themes that are known to postively impact learning
